Good afternoon Ladies and gentlemen.
It has been long since we last used this forum for our inhouse affairs. Ordinarily, this should be the official channel for airing our views and matters that may need to be addressed by the University. We have, however, adopted other means of communication for expeditious disposal of issues affecting us. I would wish to reiterate that serious matters be raised through this forum for record purposes and may be copied to our institutional email addresses as provided. Some matters may be specific to individual members of this forum (read BBA, BSc Supply Chain and MSc Procurement students) and so may be directed to the email address of the coordinator. Matters to do with individual units/ course shall be directed to individual Lecturer/Facilitator and Learner Support Assistant (LSAs) and, may the coordinator may be copied in, particularly where the response is not forthcoming.
I had indicated earlier, and severally, that transcripts would be prepared/printed once every semester so that they are given out/collected from the exam centres. I think we have tried. We have, at times ended up with uncollected transcripts. That is why last time we set up a forum where those who were willing to have their transcripts printed forwarded their details. We will continue to do that until such time that eCampus students will be on the platform where results are relayed. Remember this is an on-going process and it is a centralised activity.
I hope you are alive to the nature of the system we are operating, modular and accelerated. This combination comes with logistical challenges. if you factor in the flexibility adopted, of allowing students to take a break without going through the rigorous and long administrative processes, the task becomes even more arduous.
On Industrial Attachment, it become necessary to come up with a predictable system. We shall make arrangements for visits during the May-August sessions only. This means that ABA 330 shall be available during that session to avoid cases where eCampus students proceed for the exercise, but they caanot be supervised. Those who have secured places this time should get in touch with Industrial Attachment coordinator to enable the office arrange for supervision. In future any unsupervised attachment will not be accepted for recording.
NB: Those who have taken the requisite number of units, 67, should arrange to visit the Deans office for confirmation of names.

Coordinator, School of Business and economics, eCampus
