This activity is for face to face session CASE STUDY: Marie and Amadou are students with special educational needs and were recently enrolled in Kaimo Upper Basic School. Marie has severe visual impairment, while Amadou has mild intellectual and developmental disabilities. Marie struggles with coping with schoolwork and finds it challenging to access learning materials. On the other hand, Amadou finds it difficult to make friends and complete tasks at the stipulated time Task: In groups of 3–5, form a school-based inclusive education team. Collaboratively develop an inclusive response plan for both learners and present it as a mock team review. Components:
· Assign one person as headteacher, one as SEN Support Staff, one as parent advocate, one as class teacher.
· Draft a simplified IEP for either Marie or Amadou using the provided template. · Include goals, accommodations, and monitoring strategies.
· Create a sketch or description of an adapted classroom setup that supports visual impairments and intellectual needs.
· Propose how the school will involve Marie’s and Amadou’s families in their educational journey. · Include community or district-level referrals (e.g. outreach to the regional education office or NGOs).
· Present your plan in 10 minutes or upload your report of not more than 500 words in the assignment box. · Include visuals, decision rationale, and expected impact. Assessment Criteria:
