      Today we explore the impact of food insecurity on the health of children and adults.

    • Readings ahead of time and reading questions for the Pediatrics Session:

      1. What are the determinants of food insecurity in children and what stands out more for SSA?  

      2. What are the challenges and gaps in measurements of food insecurity for children compared to adults? 

      3. What interventions have been tried globally and in SSA and what are some limitations

      4. In your own opinion which interventions do you think should be tried further and for the choice that you make, what study methods could be used?

      4. How is food insecurity related to health in adolescents in Ethiopia? (Jebena 2017) How might this differ by gender? (Belachew 2011)
