First, Dr. Ndunyu from Maseno University and Dr. Craig Cohen from UCSF will introduce you to the program structure and expectations. Later, the faculty team will introduce concepts of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Each of the students should prepare a 10 minute presentation on the following SDGs and their relationship to health outcomes in low- and middle-income countries with a focus on Africa:
SDG 1 (ending poverty)
SDG 2 (zero hunger/food security)
SDG 3 (good health and well-being)—focus on interconnectedness/interdisciplinarity of goals under SDG 3 with other SDGs
SDG 5 (gender equality)
